History

The Rafa Nadal School opened its doors in September 2016 with a clear mission: to offer young students from around the world the opportunity to receive an outstanding international education in an environment that promotes the values of sport, effort, respect, and personal growth.

From the very beginning, the school has been part of a pioneering educational project created by Rafa Nadal and his team, built on the belief that no young person should have to choose between receiving a high-quality academic education and pursuing their sporting potential. Guided by this philosophy, the Rafa Nadal School has supported hundreds of students from many different countries in their academic, personal, and emotional development, while also welcoming students from across Mallorca. Over the years, the school community has grown steadily, becoming one of the leading international schools in the Balearic Islands. Its graduates have gone on to study at prestigious universities across Europe, the United States, and other countries, taking with them the values they developed during their time at the school.

Although the Rafa Nadal School initially opened with secondary education, the educational project has grown steadily over the years. Primary and Early Years education were subsequently introduced, progressively expanding the school’s academic offering to meet the needs of families. Today, the school also provides a nursery service, offering a complete educational pathway that supports students from their earliest years through to university.

The Rafa Nadal School graduation ceremonies reflect the school’s commitment to providing a truly holistic education. Over the years, some of the world’s most renowned sporting figures—including Toni Kroos, Pau Gasol, Roger Federer, Maria Sharapova, David Ferrer, Ona Carbonell, Ricky Rubio, Iga Świątek, Carlos Moyá, and Ana Ivanovic—have joined students on this special occasion, sharing experiences and values that will inspire them as they embark on the next stage of their lives.
